Ahmad Al-Akhras, Ph.D., P.E., P.T.O.E.
Ahmad Al-Akhras is the vice chair of the national CAIR Board and he is the past president of the Ohio Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Ohio).  He is the president of the Islamic Foundation of Central Ohio, the oldest Muslim organization in Columbus.

Dr. Al-Akhras is a recent inductee to the Leadership Columbus Hall of Fame,.  He participates in educational forums, interfaith events, and diversity training to build understanding and cooperation between Muslims and the wider community.  Dr. Al-Akhras serves on the City of Columbus Community Relations Commission, the Community Refugees and Immigration Services of Ohio (CRIS-Ohio), the Advisory Board of the McMaster School for Advancing Humanities at Defiance College and has just been installed to the Executive Committee of the Ohio Conference of the NAACP.

Dr. Al-Akhras is a resident of Columbus and an engineer by profession.
